Robert Morris forces game three, Bentley set to host league title game.

BOSTON - The semifinals of the Atlantic Hockey America (AHA) postseason continued with a pair of game twos taking place in the best-of-three round.

No. 1-seeded Bentley shutout Holy Cross 4-0 and is set to host the winner of game three between No. 3 Robert Morris and No. 2 Sacred Heart in the AHA Championship on Saturday, March 21.

NO. 2 ROBERT MORRIS VS. NO. 2 SACRED HEART
Sacred Heart scored the opening period’s only goal and held a 1-0 lead into the first intermission.

Despite falling behind and trailing 0-1 in the series, Robert Morris found a groove in the second period and scored three goals and held a 3-2 lead heading into the final frame. In the third period, the Colonials tacked on two more, including an empty net goal, to cement a 5-2 win and a chance at the conference title game by forcing game three at Sacred Heart tomorrow.

Junior forwards Tanner Klimpke (2G) and Cameron Garvey (2G-1A) each struck twice and accounted for four of the visitors’ five goals.

Game three of the series will take place on Sunday, March 14, at 5 p.m. ET.

NO. 4 HOLY CROSS VS. NO. 1 BENTLEY
Bentley swept the semifinal series against Holy Cross with a 4-0 shutout win.

Falcons’ freshman forward Owen Goodbrand potted two goals, and sophomore forward Michael Mesic extended his goal-scoring streak after he found the back of the net for an eighth straight contest.

Freshman goaltender Lukas Swedin made 23 saves in the shutout victory.
