BOSTON - Atlantic Hockey America (AHA) announced its Players of the Week on Wednesday for games played between March 2-8, 2026.
Three programs were represented, and all four honorees had previously been recognized by the conference.

FORWARD OF THE WEEK
Black collected his third honor of 2025-26 after tying for the national lead in points, tallying five (3G-2A) through two games played.
The Pomfret, Conn. native potted the game-winning goal against Mercyhurst 6:43 into the third overtime, ending the 14th-longest Division I men’s hockey contest (third-longest in AHA postseason history).
Since Jan. 1, the senior forward is tied for the national lead with 15 goals and ranks second in that span with 31 points (15G-16A).
DEFENSEMAN OF THE WEEK
Babcock took his second weekly honor of 2025-26 after skating in three games last weekend and tallying three points (1G-2A).
The North Vancouver, British Columbia native also recorded 20 blocks in the quarterfinal round of the AHA tournament. The freshman leads the nation with 117 blocks, 34 more than the next closest (83 - Dominic Elliot, Robert Morris)
GOALTENDER OF THE WEEK
This week marks Schenkel’s first Goaltender of the Week award, but his second overall AHA weekly honor.
The Toronto native posted a 2-1-0 record and helped the Colonials earn a series win over Air Force to advance to the AHA semifinal round. In net, Schenkel boasted a 1.75 goals-against average, a .959 save percentage and led the Division I with 141 saves.
ROOKIE OF THE WEEK
Leroux played an important role in helping push Holy Cross to the semifinal group of the AHA postseason, following a performance in two games (2-0) over RIT.
The Candiac, Quebec native recorded a 2.27 goals-against average and a .930 save percentage in between the pipes.
