BOSTON - Eight Atlantic Hockey America (AHA) programs are set to compete in the conference’s quarterfinal round of the 2026 Postseason.
The action began on Tuesday, March 3, when
No. 10 Mercyhurst downed No. 7 Canisius 5-2, and
No. 8 Niagara beat No. 9 Army West Point 5-4.

AROUND AHA
- Robert Morris freshman defenseman John Babcock leads the nation with 97 blocks this season, 21 more than the pair of blueliners tied for the second-most.
- Bentley enters the weekend allowing 2.2 goals-against per game in conference play, tied for the sixth-least in Division I.
- Mercyhurst’s Charles-Edward Gravel leads all freshmen goaltenders in the nation with 737 saves.
- Air Force senior defenseman Chris Hedden has averaged a point per game (1G-5A) in the AHA Postseason, making six appearances since 2023.
QUICK HITS
- Holy Cross senior forward Devin Phillips (5G-5A) and Niagara senior forward Glebs Prohorenkovs (2G-8) are tied for the lead among active AHA players with 10 points each in the conference tournament.
- Among Division I netminders in conference tournaments (min. 4 GP), Sacred Heart sophomore Ajeet Gundarah’s .946 save percentage is the second-highest, and he is one of eight active netminders with a goals-against average (1.79) under 2.00.
- Only six times in AHA Postseason history has a team won a game by a goal differential of seven. It has happened twice since 2020, with RIT doing so on March 8, 2024.
GOALS GALORE
Since Jan. 15, Sacred Heart has enjoyed success on the man advantage. The Pioneers’ power play unit is operating at a 31.6 percent success rate over that span, which leads the conference and ranks fifth in the nation.
They have netted 12 power play goals since Jan. 15, with senior forward
Reid Pabich leading them with four of those 12. Sacred Heart senior forward
Felix Trudeau is tied for the Division I lead in power play goals this season, netting 11 through the end of the regular season.
