AROUND AHA
  • RIT leads the nation with 30 power play goals in 2025-26.
  • Delaware’s seven power play goals since Jan. 1 are the fourth-most in Division I.
  • Mercyhurst junior forward Sofia Nuutinen has netted a power play goal in two straight contests, the longest active streak of its kind in the nation.
  • Syracuse’s Ava Drabyk leads all Division I freshman goaltenders with five shutouts and is tied for the most wins with five.

QUICK HITS
  • Robert Morris sophomore forward Jessica MacKinnon’s eight multi-point games are tied for the third-most in AHA.
  • Delaware freshman blueliner Lexie Lonask leads the nation with 112 blocks, the only skater with more than 100 in 2025-26.
  • Penn State’s trio of Tessa Janecke, Maddy Christian and Grace Outwater have all potted two shorthanded goals this season.
  • Mercyhurst has four players who are on active three-game point streaks heading into the weekend of play.

KAMPERSAL 500
Penn State head coach Jeff Kampersal is on the cusp of making history, just one win away from 500 over his 30 seasons as a Division I bench boss.

Kampersal is slated to become only the fourth active women’s Division I coach with 500+ wins and would join Mercyhurst’s Mike Sisti (606) on the list. Serving as the Nittany Lions’ head coach since 2017-18, Kampersal will become only the fifth head coach in women’s Division I history to reach the milestone.

TIP OF THE HAT
A pair of Lindenwood skaters played an integral role in the Lions’ first sweep on home ice since 2024. Senior Molly Henderson netted her first career hat trick, accounting for all three Lindenwood goals in a 3-2 win over Delaware on Friday, Jan. 16.

In the following game, freshman forward Tatiana Blichova also potted three goals and added a helper in a 6-3 victory to clinch the series sweep of the Blue Hens.

Lindenwood had not seen back-to-back hat tricks since the 2015-16 campaign when forward Shara Jasper did on Oct. 10 and 30, 2015.
