BOSTON - Atlantic Hockey America (AHA) announced its Players of the Week on Tuesday for games played between Jan. 26-Feb. 1, 2026. Two programs were represented with two first-time honorees. PLAYERS OF THE WEEK Forward: Jake Black, SR, Bentley (Pomfret, Conn.) Defenseman: Jack Dalton, JR, Bentley (River Forest, Ill.) Goaltender: Dominik Wasik, JR, Air Force (Superior, Colo.) Rookie: Cole Christian, F, Air Force (Duluth, Minn.) FORWARD OF THE WEEK For the second time this season, Black has been honored as Forward of the Week by AHA. The Pomfret, Conn. native tied for the conference lead with four points (3G-1A), and goals. Black netted a hat trick in a 5-0 win against Robert Morris on Friday, Jan. 30, and was the first Falcon to do so since March 13, 2025 (A.J. Hodges). In a 3-3 tie on Saturday, Jan. 31, the senior forward added an assist to extend his point streak to nine games, which is tied for the fourth-longest active in the nation. DEFENSEMAN OF THE WEEK Dalton tied Black and two others for the conference lead in points with four (1G-3A) last week, the most by an AHA blueliner. The River Forest, Ill. native had a hand in all three goals, as he tallied three points (1G-2A) in a 3-3 tie on Saturday, Jan. 31 at Robert Morris. This honor marks the first weekly AHA award for Dalton. GOALTENDER OF THE WEEK For the third time in 2025-26, Wasik collected an AHA weekly award. The Superior, Colo. native helped Air Force sweep Sacred Heart on its home ice as he led the conference (min. 33% team minutes played) with a 1.00 goals-against average and finished third with a .961 save percentage. ROOKIE OF THE WEEK Christian has his first-ever weekly honor from the conference as he played a big role in Air Force’s 5-2 win over Sacred Heart on Friday, Jan. 30.
