BOSTON - Every Atlantic Hockey America (AHA) program is slated to compete this week, beginning with Thursday night conference action between Holy Cross and Army West Point. MATCHUPS Thursday/Friday (Jan. 29/30) Army West Point at Holy Cross Friday/Saturday (Jan. 30/31) (RV) Bentley at Robert Morris (RV) RIT at Mercyhurst Niagara at Canisius (Game One at Canisius - Game Two at Niagara) Sacred Heart at Air Force AROUND AHA Since Jan. 1, Bentley senior forward Jake Black leads AHA with 13 points (6G-7A). His seven-game point streak in that span is tied for the longest in the nation. Army West Point is allowing 2.0 goals-against per game since Dec. 1, tied for the eighth-least in Division I in that span. RIT’s Jakub Krbecek’s 14 wins are the third-most among all sophomore goaltenders in collegiate hockey. Robert Morris freshman defenseman John Babcock leads Division I with 69 blocks. QUICK HITS Niagara forward Marshall Finnie’s two power play goals are tied for the most by an AHA freshman. Holy Cross senior forward Matt DeBoer has tallied three games with at least three points, the most among AHA forwards. Sacred Heart senior forward Felix Trudeau leads Division I with 10 power play goals and is tied for the overall goal lead with 20. Since the beginning of 2026, Mercyhurst freshman forward Will Schumacher has led the Lakers with eight points (3G-5A) in eight games played. KILLER INSTINCT Canisius has found success on the power play over the last few months. Since Nov. 15, the Golden Griffins' penalty kill has led Division I, operating at a 90.7 percent success rate. This is the sole penalty kill unit operating at 90 percent or above since mid-November. The Golden Griffins have only allowed five power play goals since then. Canisius is one of six programs in the nation to allow five goals or fewer. HEDDEN IN THE RIGHT DIRECTION Air Force senior defenseman Chris Hedden enters the weekend leading all active Division I blueliners with 97 career points (33G-64A) in 136 games played. The Kalamazoo, Mich., native has the opportunity to become the only active defenseman in the nation to collect 100 career points. This season, Hedden is tied for the fourth-most points of his position group nationally, with 23 (11G-12A) through 24 contests.
